The Santa Clara District Attorneys’ office believes that San Jose Sharks left wing player Mark Bell drove into a pickup truck and fled the scene of an accident before police arrived.

Local police arrested Bell less than one mile from the scene and mention his blood alcohol content (BAC) was almost twice the legal limit of .08 in California.

If the charges are bumped up to a felony hit-and-run, Bell could face up nearly four years in prison. The Santa Clara District Attorneys’ office wants to further investigation the incident.
