Tennessee's former state senator Kathryn Bowers was indicted by a state grand jury for reckless driving stemming from a car accident last August.

Bowers was originally charged with a DUI, but those charges were dismissed when toxicology results failed to show a significant amount of drugs or alcohol in Bowers' system.

Bowers hit a UPS truck during the incident. Reckless driving is a Class B misdemeanor in the state of Tennessee.
